Turquoise Yachts Launches 60m and 80m Yacht Concept Called above & Beyond
Turquoise Yachts, in collaboration with renowned British design studio Bannenberg & Rowell, has unveiled a pair of superyacht concepts of 65 and 80 meters respectively, named Above & Beyond.
The first of the two concepts to hit the market is the 65-metre Above, while construction of the upcoming 80-metre Beyond will begin later this year. One of the standouts features of these designs is the Crow's Nest, which has been creatively imagined as a bespoke platform lift that rises to mast height.
The core design concept of the yacht is the efficient layout of the main deck. It seamlessly connects the main saloon and dining area to the six guest cabins. The spacious saloon flows aft to the main deck, which features a stunning glass-bottomed swimming pool and a large lounge so that the sun can penetrate to the beach club below.
The Beach Club offers facilities such as a sauna, wellness facilities, steam showers, massage rooms and a fully equipped gym with a balcony. In addition to this, there is a bar, seating and a lounge area with double balconies to enhance the leisure experience on board.
A key factor in Above's design was crew efficiency, and a number of configurations have been thoughtfully adopted on deck, including spacious stowage rooms and a commercial galley with walk-in freezers. Crew amenities include dedicated laundry facilities, a gym and a spacious canteen area.
Turquoise was founded in 1997 by two leaders in the Turkish shipbuilding industry, Proteksan Yachts Inc. and Turquoise Yacht Construction. After the launch of the 50-metre M/Y Turquoise (now known as Double Trouble), 20 other mega yachts ranging in length from 40 to 77 meters have been delivered to international clients from the US, UK, Europe and Russia.
