Moonen Lumiere Yacht Makes a Debut in Sardinia, Kicks Off Its Inaugural Sailing Season
The 37.8-meter Moonen Martinique series motor yacht Lumière, delivered in June, has recently been spotted moored off Sardinia, captured in stunning sunlight by photographer Charl van Rooy. The Australian owners are enjoying their inaugural season aboard this yacht.
The owners expressed great satisfaction with the delivery, stating, "We highly commend Moonen and their team for delivering an extraordinary vessel. Upon its arrival from the Netherlands to Mallorca, we embarked on a four-week cruise with family and friends. Every guest on board was impressed by the high-quality interior and comfort." They further noted Lumière's performance exceeded all expectations and expressed delight in seeing four other Moonen Martinique series yachts docked at Port Adriano.
As the fifth yacht in this series, Lumière features Moonen's renowned Martinique Island design, known for its fast cruising capability, seamless indoor-outdoor living, and exceptional customization options. During its two-year construction, the owners were actively involved in the design, requesting features such as an enlarged hot tub on the sun deck, a bespoke swim platform, and collaborating with Studio Indigo for unique interior designs.
The yacht's captain also praised Lumière, stating, "Sailing on a Moonen yacht brings us great peace of mind with its safety and quality." He also considers the Moonen Martinique among the top yachts in its size category.
With a volume of 345 GT, Lumière accommodates up to 12 guests in five luxurious cabins and provides separate accommodation for up to seven crew members. The hull is constructed of high-strength steel, with an aluminum superstructure for durability and lightweight performance. Powered by two Caterpillar engines, it achieves a top speed of 17 knots and has a range of 4000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 10 knots.
