Lürssen superyacht Kismet made its maiden voyage on the Thames, becoming the most eye-catching yacht in London
The 122-meter-long Lürssen Kismet has now arrived in London, UK, following its highly anticipated debut at this year's Monaco Yacht Show. It is currently moored near Tower Bridge, having previously stopped at Tilbury, and is now one of the largest yachts ever to sail the River Thames.
Kismet was the second-largest superyacht at the Monaco Yacht Show, surpassed only by the 123.2-meter Golden Odyssey. It is available for charter through Cecil Wright, with a rental price of €3 million per week ($3,277,200), making it one of the most expensive yachts available for charter.
This superyacht was custom-built by Lürssen for their regular client Shahid Khan, who had previously owned the 95.2-meter Lürssen yacht Whisper (formerly known as Kismet). As the owner of Fulham Football Club, Khan is no stranger to the UK, and his previous Kismet had also visited the British capital multiple times under his ownership.
Reymond Langton Design and Nuvolari Lenard collaborated once again, with Reymond Langton handling the yacht’s interior design and Nuvolari Lenard responsible for the exterior design. The yacht boasts an array of luxurious features, including a Bali-inspired spa with a cryotherapy chamber, a chromotherapy jacuzzi, and an exclusive gym and yoga room with a juice bar. Additional amenities include a fireplace, floor-to-ceiling windows, and exquisite finishes with marble accents throughout the yacht.
Kismet comfortably accommodates up to 12 guests in either 8 or 9 stateroom configurations, and its owner's suite spans two decks. The suite also features a private jacuzzi and sunbathing area, a private staircase leading to a panoramic main office, a conference table seating up to six people, and a dedicated storage room, allowing the owner to work in comfort and privacy.
In terms of exterior deck space, Kismet offers three swimming pools for guests to relax. The pool deck includes a large jacuzzi with a waterfall feature, and there is another jacuzzi on the upper deck, along with four outdoor showers.
German shipyard Lürssen also introduced an innovative feature on Kismet—a partially submerged lounge area. This space can be transformed into a cinema, with oversized windows (1.1m x 2.8m) that extend below the waterline. The yacht is equipped with state-of-the-art hybrid technology, including a fully electric mode, a heat recovery system from the generators used for pool heating, and dynamic positioning for electronic anchoring in environmentally sensitive or remote areas.
