The Ferretti Group was established in 1968, inheriting centuries of Italian yacht tradition. It is a leader in the design, manufacturing, and sales of luxury yachts and leisure boats worldwide. The group boasts a portfolio of renowned, unique, and complementary brands, including Pershing, Riva, Itama, Custom Line, Wally, and CRN. 

Ferretti Yachts, the flagship brand of the Ferretti Group, is a global leader in the design, manufacturing, and sales of motor yachts ranging from 46 to 88 feet. This business was founded in 1968.

Like the establishment of many great industries in the world, the successful inception of Ferretti yachts began quietly and secretly. In 1968, Norberto Ferretti, a man with boundless love for the sea, and his brother Alessandro Ferretti, a successful and pragmatic manager, jointly decided that, in addition to selling yachts manufactured by their shipyard, they must also produce their own yachts to revitalize the family business.

In 1970, Ferretti Shipyard showcased two motor sailboats, 10 meters and 12 meters long, at the Genoa Boat Show. The subsequent Altura33 yacht was a fiberglass motor yacht manufactured by Ferretti.

In the following decade, the company made a significant decision to greatly enhance its manufacturing capabilities and production technology, shifting towards the production of more impressive motor yachts. This decision caused many changes in the yacht market and set new world standards for yacht design: the placement of the stern rudder; folding windows that open the engine room and stern deck; an internal staircase from the salon to the flybridge. The company's commitment received a positive and enthusiastic response from customers, leading to the establishment of a dedicated R&D engineering department in 1989.

In the 1990s, Norberto Ferretti achieved new accomplishments in global yachting projects, including two victories in the World Sailing Open in 1994 and 1997. The success of Ferretti Yachts quickly expanded from the Italian coast to the entire Mediterranean, followed by the United States and the world. The Ferretti Group's business vision and courage made it a multinational luxury yacht company.
