Jeanneau Yachts Brand Introduction

Like most boys, Henri Jeanneau, the founder of the French Jeanneau yachts brand, was fascinated by mechanics, particularly airplanes and cars. Perhaps God cherishes those who are capable and daring enough to try; he specially arranged for a truck carrying opportunities to pass by the Jeanneau home. The roaring sound truly captured the future yacht company leader's attention, and the boats being towed by the truck ignited his passion for yachting.

"Outsiders" are those who always linger at the door. If you want to make a change, it's important to have the courage to take the first step and the enthusiasm to keep going. Henri Jeanneau possessed that desire to pursue his dreams. This young man, who knew nothing about boats, attempted to build his first vessel—a small boat with a pure wooden hull—and entered the biggest national race in France at the time, the "6-hour Paris race." When he crossed the finish line in first place, his amateur status transformed into a professional career.

In 1959, Henri Jeanneau began to commercially operate his sailing experience—the "Nautical Hall of the West" was announced, which is the predecessor of today's Jeanneau Shipyard. In the unprecedented economic growth environment of France, the new company's executive committee keenly realized that most families would gradually reduce their household chores and working hours, and then devote more time to leisure and entertainment. Therefore, Jeanneau started advocating for the public to integrate into the ocean and enjoy the fun on the boat.

However, in the early 1960s, with the emergence of fiberglass, the shipbuilding industry also underwent tremendous changes. Compared with wood and steel, this new material has obvious process advantages, which can make the mass production of molds a reality. In this way, workers are only responsible for processing the formed shells, which can greatly shorten the production cycle and reduce manufacturing costs.

Compared with competitors, Jeanneau also gradually boldly tried to apply fiberglass to ship production. After unremitting efforts, Jeanneau's first all-fiberglass boat was successfully built and put into production in 1961. The Jeanneau people have composed the "ship" miracle of building more than 1,500 fiberglass yachts with this continuous attempt to pursue the ideal of the ocean.

Jeanneau's Success Model: Leveraging 50 years of shipbuilding experience, Jeanneau strives to innovate new shipbuilding technologies, increase investments, and continuously transform its factories into more humanized, technological, and efficient advanced industrial chains, providing users with cost-effective products.

Twenty years ago, Jeanneau developed a process called Prisma closed molding. This molding method consumes less material and produces high-quality products. At the same time, compared to traditional fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) molding methods, the new method reduces organic volatile emissions by 10%, making it more environmentally friendly.
